Again I will be posting some stuff that happened a few weeks ago. Akihabara and some parties.
I will start with the parties, since this is a short topic (is that good English?, lack of sleep + sake = Bad-English). Since the day I arrived in Tokyo, I went to some party at least once a week. Since it's annoying as hell to bring along a camera when going to parties, I only have very few pictures (only from St. Patricksday and the Kuwahara Labs' welcome party). Another thing worth mentioning is the Dutch embassy science party. I'm sure I went to more parties, but can't remember that well to be honest. I know the picture with cat-ears is related to a maid's cafe and vodka (lots of vodka).
Anyway, since I won't be making pictures at parties and I won't be able to remember much (alcohol effect), don't expect me to post much about parties on my blog.
Well, that said, up to the Akihabara topic. This is actually a very fun place to hang out. Strange people, strange shops/stores, maids cafes, arcades, just too much fun. (Although I don't play the arcades and hate pachinko and slot-machines, it's still fun to watch people playing.) The places with the dolls-grap-machines (or whatever) are somewhat fun, kinda had to collect a few things there (various reasons).
This place is pretty much known as the Electric town, geek town, electronics town. But I guess the main attraction there are the maid cafes! At least for me, since these places are great izakaya (dinner+drinking) places. And I can practice my Japanese there (yeah, making up excuses for going there).
Hmm, let's see... am I forgetting something... Ah yeah, Cafe bar NAGOME is the first place in Tokyo I got totally drunk! Went from Akihabara to home totally drunk, no idea what people thought of me... (was a 1 hour travel btw, getting lost and rest time excluded).
Ah, there's more. Right now there's some event going on in Akiba (100 days): "LIVE park in Akiba" Will need to go to Akiba several times now, since there are live concerts, fun!
And still need to check many shops/stores there. So far each shop takes like 1 hour to check all the floors... Animate is a 7 floors building, and that's just a small building. (So far only checked 2 buildings.)
Aw, it's getting late. This is where my post stops. Thanks for the replies on the blog all, and I'll keep you all updates! If you got any questions, just reply on my blog (so I know where the question comes from).

PS. most maid cafes don't allow visitors to take pictures. I will try to make as many pictures as possible ;)

Seriously tho, I thought I had an easy time at Royal Haskoning, but all you do is go to parties ^^ I often have to be present from 9 to 5, which I use to write on people's blogs... ;)
Also, the kitty-band... I want one too :P! -
