Anyway, today it's the Japanese-style garden (Riguki-en) and cherry blossoms again (full blossom this time, Ueno and Chidorigafuchi).
The reason why I checked out a Japanese garden was because the French guy traveling with me mentioned it. Stupid me, I never gave this a thought. Might have end up going back home without checking it at all... O well, I checked out a Japanese garden. No idea what I can say about it, Meiji Jingu Shrine was much more impressive! I guess the garden is worth a visit, but just don't expect too much. It's just walking around and enjoying the scenery. And seeing HUGE goldfish!!!!! (Probably the most exciting moment there for me, since I have a strange goldfish obsession.) I would say, check out the pictures to see what I mean.
As for the cherry blossoms again, pictures are from about four locations. But I spent most of my time at Ueno park and Chidorigafuchi park. Ueno was nice, again difficult to describe. Probably something like lots of sakura and even more people! It was very difficult to make good pictures at Ueno, way too busy. And there weren't that many food stalls available...
Chidorigafuchi was much more fun. Although it has less trees, it has way more food stalls and walking space! When I was in Chidorigafuchi, I collected my lunch from food stalls. So much "must try" food! Like Fish-on-a-stick, tried this for the first time in Ueno though. Fish obsession ;) Pictures from food stalls are mainly from Chidorigafuchi park, near Yasukuni Shrine (which I visited as well).
I guess that's it for now. Laundry should be done by now. Next time I'll probably post something about my workspace, the people here and their strange culture.
BTW; Monday the people at my workplace will have a Hanami party at Komaba Research Campus. Will be fun! And maybe a chance for me to post something before it's weekend again.
